Landscapes - New Offer
A landscape is defined as any scene without any characters or large focal features in it, but focuses rather on a scene that can serve was a backdrop, background or reference for a place instead of any specific item. Scenes can be anything from natural scenes, space scenes, skylines or otherwise. Right now this is only available in Lined style (my regular format for all commissions) but I am hoping to open it to a Painterly (lineless) style later on when I am more comfortable with it.
Custom Designs - Original Characters
Starting at $50
This refers to any art of a nude character or non-prop that does not have any actual pre-existing artwork, and comes with inspirations or description only. Designs cost more because the design is completely catered to your liking, with many steps along the way. Cost varies depending how complex the design is, and how many angles you want to see the design at.
These are only offered with Semi-shading, so that true colors are more evident.
$50 will get you one side profile of the character/creature, before complexity fee (characters with giant wings, extra limbs, tons of scars or scales, etc, will impose a complexity fee).
More angles (back/front/top, etc) will cost more.

Wallet Friendly Options
For those times when you're looking to add just a little something to your character, or a gift for a friend or partner, but also don't want to break the bank, please consider my YCH commissions! These are cost effective and have a quick turnaround time once started. Most of these allow for a wide variety of customization and are suitable for almost any and all characters. Most of these are available to be purchased directly through me OR through my Etsy shop, whichever is more to your preference. Buying through me directly will technically give me more money, but buying through Etsy will technically help my shop grow, helping my business reach more people and thus better in the long run, so it really is up to you how you wish to purchase.
You can see a full listing below, on my DeviantArt, or on my Toyhouse. Prices range from $20-$30 on average.

Experimental
Base Price: $10
Pay what you want, get equal value back.
A chance for me to practice something new. This can be anything from limited palettes, lineless practice, landscape, food, or perspective. Anything that is OUT of my usual realm of skill or style is acceptable here. These are not extremely detailed works. You don't get to choose what I practice, and you do not get to choose specific poses. Vague theme ideas are allowed, however. (Example, "Do something aurora borealis themed with my character.") Basically, I'll look at the OC you send me, and do something fun with them that is outside my normal standard.
Understand that these are largely for me to practice new painting styles, you shouldn't come into this type of commission expecting something exact or specific, nor like my other examples, that is not what these are for. That said, I wont deliver the piece until I think it is good quality and worth what you paid. You should not expect my normal style for these types of commissions.
These are pay what you want, and I will give you something approximate in terms of time and effort.
Example:
Heimrich, Bathe- Chaffen art, Nevermore Mask, Erephus Eclipse, Pachi-Christmas, Sev Sketch

Dreams and PatchesNeed a Dream for your Special OC?
I'm comfortable with most Dragonspeak, regions and effects, automatic timers, just about any theme (medieval, modern, Victorian, gothic, wilderness, cold weathers, castles, Asian, forests, etc), using just about any patch that exists. I can either compile a patch for you (this takes time, so will be more costly), or modify one of my pre-existing patch compilations for you. You can also provide a patch for me to use if you have one on hand. I do not do PS (phoenixspeak). Furcadia Dreams These prices reflect using compiled patches only. If you want me to use pay to use patches I have made myself, you will need to pay for the use of those patches as well, on top of the room numbers below. $4 per small room - a 5x5 square $6 per medium room - a 10x10 square $8 per large room - a 16 x 16 square $10 per massive room which is anything larger than 16 x16 Bare in mind, not all rooms will be perfect squares! I use these measurements to gauge about how large a room should be by how many spaces are in them and therefore the cost of it. Rooms can be unique shapes using this method. DS (Dragonspeak) is included. There is no discount if you intend to do DS yourself. If you want me to find more patches to use for this commission, I will impose a negotiated fee for the time required. Patches and Patch ServicesUnfortunately, I am no longer offering custom patches. They take too long and I am generally unmotivated to work on them. I DO however intend to release pay to use patches that I am genuinely inspired to make on my own. You can scroll down slightly to see which ones I'm offering. I also occasionally release premade dreams, sometimes using Pay to Use patches (see Roguehaven Caves at right).
Additional Patch Services: Patch Modification or Fix: Have a patch that is broken or needs repaired, edited or tweaked in some way? I can usually do these kinds of things for a negotiated fee depending on the size of the fix and how long it'll take me. Patch Recolor: Got a few patch items that are just hideous or don't match the rest of the theme of your dream? Allow me to recolor them for you. You must have permission of the original artist of those items for me to do this.
Where did your Avatars and Localspecies Go? I have since discontinued this service. As with custom patches, they take too long for me to enjoy, and the price I would need to charge to convince me to do these again is exorbitant for most clients. For this reason I have discontinued them. |

Terms of Service and DisclaimersYour tattooist may ask to stretch, alter, or modify the design based on many various factors such as size, tattoo location, best visibility and body size. This is not something I have control over nor something I can compensate for. It is between you and your tattooist to decide how, where, and what size the tattoo should be and what changes ought to be made. I assume NO responsibility whatsoever if the tattoo ends up coming out not to your liking or if there is a mistake on the tattooists behalf. Once you have confirmed a final design from me (before your tattoo is put on your skin) I am free of the process and all liability and responsibility from there forward.
Find a tattooist who is comfortable tracing your purchased designs before agreeing to have them do it. In order to prevent theft, some parlors may ask for proof of purchase, ownership, or otherwise before they will willingly do the design on you. Otherwise, they may charge you to re-draw the design (in their style, which isn't what you're paying me for) and it may not come out to your liking at all. If they ask for proof of ownership or purchase, feel free to show them the paypal invoice I sent you and if need be, they may contact me directly via [email protected] for clarification and confirmation, I will be happy to answer any questions they may have. You may also direct them to this website if they ask. More examples coming soon... Hopefully =D

Quotes & Payment Options,
Quotes:
If you want to know exactly how much your commission will cost, I will need you to fill out a commission form first with all of the necessary information. A quote is based on the prices I am charging at the time of the quote, and that quote is good for approximately two months.
Payment Methods:
I only accept PayPal payments. Game currency or trades of other non-monetary goods are not accepted. Additionally, Haggling is not tolerated.
I will send you an invoice for your payment to avoid any back-charging. Back-charges will result in a blacklist.
Pay over time options ARE accepted. But be reasonable. If you are unsure whether or not you will have funds to finish the payment, please wait to make an order until you are certain you will. Commissions that are not fully paid for are not yet owned by the client, and you will only ever be delivered exactly the amount of work you pay for.
If this is a small or quick commission (a sketch, bust, waist up, portrait, etc.) please have the money for the commission at the time of ordering the commission, or very shortly there after. Small commissions are typically ready to invoice quickly after starting (within hours to 3 days). I don't mind waiting a few days if all you need is payday, just let me know. Ghosting me will result in the commission being cancelled as I will be forced to assume you've lost interest.

Additional/Optional Costs
I offer a number of additional, optional customization services to my clients in effort to give them more control and more originality over their commissions. These costs may impact your final total if your commission is complex and will take more time. Some things (like complex wings, props, multiple characters, etc) may cause your commission to cost more than the minimum, listed base price. This is the breakdown.
Additional Characters or Large Props:
These cost an additional 70% of the listed price (each). Once applied, they become part of the base price. If you have more than one character or large figure (such as a man with a pet dog for example, or a couple hugging, or someone in an ornate vehicle) this fee will apply. Please note that this cost is just to include them in the art. It does not cover specific poses or scenes. If you have specific poses in mind for the characters, your cost will be higher. If you do not have specific poses in mind for the additional characters, the artist will choose fitting poses for them, usually with your input. See below.
Complexity Fee:
If the art will take the artist longer than usual to implement on its own, or makes the commission more difficult to do, then it will impose the complexity fee. This is a judgment I make when I first see your original character artwork, commission form or project references, to determine how long I think it will take me. I will never charge you more than your original quote unless you ask for multiple revisions or alterations beyond the first 2.
This fee will never apply to the Custom Design category (because Custom Designs are priced by their complexity already).
Mildly Complex: (1-3 hours overtime) 20-30% of the base price.
Your commission will qualify for the Mild Complexity fee if any of the following are true:
Additional revisions: By default, I will make 2 free revisions to a presketch to make it suit you better, but if you need more revisions, the cost will be $5 each revision, this fee applies to non-commercial works only. Commercial works have their own revision fees.
Rush Fee: This is rarely imposed, but if for some reason you need your commission by a specific date that is close to occurring, and I would not otherwise get to it in time (because of others in queue or other reasons), I can work on your art as an overtime piece. Not skipping current customers, but working on yours after my usual hours. This fee is done on a case-by-case basis depending on the size and detail of your commission and the deadline.
Commercial Rights: 50% of the price after any Complexity, Additional Character or Rush fees have been applied to the Base Price.
If you intend to take this art and eventually sell it, print it or redistribute it widely or otherwise use it in any fashion to make money, you will need to purchase Commercial Rights. This fee is intended for small-scale artworks that are one-off, quick to complete projects. These projects have no contract like most commercial commissions and require no signatures. Instead, it will be noted on your commission file that Commercial Rights were paid for. Commercial Rights will allow you the ability to make money off of this smaller commission in whatever format you choose. Please note, purchasing commercial rights does not give you permission to claim credit for having created the artwork. Credit must always be given to me, Trish Shields, for the artwork I have provided to you, even if Commercial Rights are purchased.
It is important to note that small size commissions of this format usually do not print well if expanded or enlarged, as it can cause blurriness. The artist assumes no liability for printing issues or any complications that may arise if the finished commission does not print well due to small scale. Furthermore, the Artist claims no liability to any printing issues of any kind. Printing, publishing and distribution are not the responsibility of the artist and are not covered by purchasing Commercial Rights. No guarantee is made that your item will print cleanly if this is your option. If you need your artwork at a very specific size for printing, please notify the artist in your commission form of that size prior to work beginning. The size cannot easily be changed once the work has begun, and it is not the responsibility of the artist to find that size for you. If you do not provide a size, a random size will be used (meaning, any size I choose that I think looks good for the artwork).
Most full-scale commercial projects like T-shirt designs, Book Covers, Tattoos, Logos or other graphic design projects are excluded from this fee. This is because items of that nature are usually larger and require much more input to complete, so they have their own prices or negotiated prices and a contract, and the commercial rights are included.
Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions regarding these fees and if you are unsure if they will apply to your commission or not.

Mildly Complex: (1-3 hours overtime) 20-30% of the base price.
Your commission will qualify for the Mild Complexity fee if any of the following are true:
- You want a specific Pose.
- Your character has extra limbs (Tails, Wings, arms, etc).
In this case, extra means more than 2 arms, 2 legs, more than 1 tail. Wings and other limbs will always be counted as extra. - Your character has full body markings (like tiger stripes or leopard spots).
- Your character is wearing ornate clothing with lots of small details.
- Your character has full-body scales, and you want to see every scale, like monsters, dragons, or other reptilians or aquatics.
- You want a highly detailed and specific background (such as a specific place or setting).
- You have a specific scene in mind with multiple additional characters with a specific pose in mind for each of the characters. This is an especially costly criteria as it requires the artist to not only include multiple characters, but also in specific perspectives and poses. The fee will be closer to 70% if you have more than three characters as this compounds the difficulty of the art.
- You have multiple characters, large props or vehicles and they are all complex in nature.
- You want the artwork to be oversize, such as for commercial printing use or otherwise.
